How we pick, and who runs this shop
Last updated 11 September 2026.
Divergent Products is a shop for people whose brains work differently: ADHD, autistic, dyslexic, dyspraxic and sensory-different people, and the families who shop for them. It is organised by what is hard, not by what a thing is, because nobody wakes up wanting a "sensory tool". They wake up and the kitchen is too loud.
Who runs it
Divergent Products is a trading name of HAM Agency Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 11265213), trading since March 2018. Registered office: C205 The Chocolate Factory, 5 Clarendon Road, London N22 6XJ. VAT number GB 423 0107 57.
How a product gets onto a shelf
- It is real and you can buy it in the UK. Every product has been opened on the maker's or retailer's own page, with a UK price, before it goes on a shelf.
- It does a job someone on that shelf actually has. Each product sits under a need, such as "It's too loud, too bright" or "Food is a fight", and has to earn its place there.
- Nobody pays to be picked. Brands cannot buy a place in the picks or a kinder description. Paid placements exist, but they sit in their own labelled space, never among the picks.
- Neurodivergent-founded brands are marked. Where a brand is founded or run by neurodivergent people and says so publicly, the card says "ND-founded".
- We hold some things back. Supplements, and money products that are regulated financial promotions, stay off the shelves until they have had a legal review.
How we describe things
We say what a product does and the situation it is for. We never say a product treats, cures, fixes or improves ADHD, autism, dyslexia, anxiety, sleep or anything else. Nothing on a shelf does that, and the rules on advertising in the UK are rightly strict about it. Facts about conditions come from official sources such as the NHS, the National Autistic Society and the British Dyslexia Association, and every guide lists its sources.
Where we have not tried something ourselves, we say "the maker says" or "reviewers report", and we never invent testing, quotes or statistics.
How the shop earns
- Affiliate links. Every product link is an affiliate link. If you buy through one, the retailer may pay us a small commission. Your price stays the same. We work with programmes including Amazon Associates, Awin, Impact, PartnerStack, Bookshop.org and makers' own programmes. As an Amazon Associate, Divergent Products earns from qualifying purchases.
- Advertising. Some space on the site is sold to advertisers. It is always labelled "Ad" or "Advertisement", it never moves, flashes or pops up, and our advertising policy lists what we refuse.
- Commission never decides the picks. A product that pays nothing can sit on a shelf, and several do: free apps, free schemes and podcasts.
Nothing here is medical advice
If something is getting in the way of your life, your GP is the right first stop. The NHS has information on ADHD and autism.
